Episode 11- The Challenge

Today’s challenge is don’t wake the llama! It was supposed to be a handy competition but that didn’t pan out like I wanted 😭

Anyways, the challenge went smoothly. In house one Jasper ended up winning the competition. While in house 2, Darius won! I swear that man will not let anyone else win!! lol

For this solo date both sims will take a trip out of San Myshuno. Penny will meet them in Granite Falls for a bit of an outdoor retreat (pun intended).

And we start off with, well.

Yet another cooking loather, Lee, brings about what may likely be a harbinger of things to come for this household.

No, Lee. Fires do not flee before a zombie imitation, even if yours had actually been a decent one.

Sage, can’t you use your vampire powers to do something about this???

Wow, you become immortal once and everyone assumes you can do everything. Sheesh.

Lilac however very conveniently has a fear of fire to vanquish.

Yes, you do have to do everything yourself around here.

As everyone has been cheated the FOCUSED moodlet, I do have them perform a mental skill building activity every now and then. Lee hasn’t been given a reprieve from cooking, but at least sunshiney Tiago is entertaining him through memes, which he may not necessarily consider to be consolation-

Oh wait - he likes them. Is this the beginning of a beautiful (and surprisingly wholesome) friendship?

Look Ma, no fire! And yes, it's breakfast time ladies, so stop admiring Mister's wood work and head downstairs.

Tiago continues to be entertaining. And Sage enthuses about the thrill of the steal to Giovanna - who is surprisingly into it?

Lee is just getting cozy with Lilac on the ottoman when Forest (who was skill building upstairs and missed the fire) says hey girl, he heard there was a bit of a catastrophe earlier, but luckily he may have found a hose that he can show you upstairs?

(Yeah, today is not Lee's day...)

And this of course brings about chore montage hour! Tiago grinds on handiness, Mister goes fishing, budding buddies Giovanna and Sage tend the garden (with geeky Sage even finding some time to game later) - aaaand rather fittingly, Lee is stuck on cleaning up after the animals 💩

Moojito is likely wondering where that nice young man Spencer got to. He took much better care of her. Hooves down, 2/10, leaving a terrible review on Yelp...

Meanwhile NEAT sim Giovanna is dismayed at the mess in the kitchen, and Forest's sunny post coital bliss isn't enough to stop his EVIL trait from kicking in and slinging some insults Lilac's way. Oof.

To call her famous is truly an understatement. She stands out as the most infamous convict across all simulated worlds. Curiously, she was born and raised in Ciudad Enamorda, but by the time she was four, her parents unexpectedly placed her on a plane to Brindleton Bay to live with her grandmother, her mother’s mom. This sudden separation left her feeling abandoned, leading her to believe that her parents didn’t want her. Jess was left to grapple with her emotions and the trauma of that experience alone. At school, her tendency to keep to herself made her a target for bullying, as other kids found her odd. Then came that pivotal day when a prank went horribly wrong, causing her to lose control and hurt a couple of classmates, which ultimately led her grandmother to transfer her to a different school.

Since that time, Jess transformed into a certified menace. She was constantly getting into fights, neglecting her schoolwork, and arguing with teachers and principals. Before long, she found herself mingling with other outcasts. By the age of 13, she had been permanently banned from several schools, forcing her grandmother to take on the responsibility of homeschooling her. Beneath her tough exterior, Jess felt a pang of guilt for the trouble she caused her grandmother. In many respects, her grandmother was her only refuge, and Jess held a deep affection for her.

By the age of 16, she left home with her boyfriend and his group, creating a new band of outcasts that roamed from Oasis Springs to Copperdale and beyond. They had no money or proper shelter, relying on abandoned buildings and homeless encampments. She adopted the name "Jess," with only her family and law enforcement aware of her true identity. Throughout her twenties, she frequently found herself in jail for various misdemeanors. She has done it all and hasn't spoken to her grandmother since then.

Now 26, she still finds herself in occasional run-ins with the law. So, don’t be shocked if she greets officers by name. With a tight-knit group of friends, most people tend to steer clear of her, which is just how she prefers it. She’s embraced a lifestyle filled with music, art, and a hint of pyromania. Her romantic life, however, is nonexistent. After a string of disappointments, she takes pride in being a good time rather than a long-term commitment. And Riot is no exception; she’s a fierce woman looking to explore some daring adventures together. Whatever those adventures may be, she’s ready to discover them if Riot is willing to join her.

Entering Sims BC/Challenges are where its at!

So I was going through my S4 folder and pics today and came across my cache of BC/Challenge entry pics that I have done over the last year. Mind you this doesnt include sim request or the rare CAS Challenge i may partake in.

Just a little over a year ago I entered my first BC. My entry was late and ultimately didn't make it through. Since then I have entered approx 20ish Challenges( Bachelor/ette or Tournament style challenges)

I've watched my sim style change over the year and entering these has done a few things

1 made me more comfortable with creating male sims - As they were not something I gave much credence to prior to starting this journey

2. enabled me to come up with some great storylines/backgrounds for not only the contest but to use in my own game

3. enjoy the game when its as problematic as it is.

4. its a great ease into engaging/interacting with your fellow simblr

BC's are not for everyone. Your sim may not always get chosen, make it far or end up in the finales let alone win. And sometimes BC get abandoned, start dates are pushed back or they don't get completed. So be ok with any of these things when you enter one. I personally love seeing the progression of another's story that has one of my pixels sprinkled in their storyline. As I don't play the game ( between crashes, crashes and more crashes - its a headache for me ) so CAS is my go to as I rarely have any problems there.

So the next time you see your fellow simblr putting a call out for contestant try your hand as you maybe pleasantly surprised.

Episode 11- Fuel the Flame

We kick off this episode like all others with a group date! Both houses went to an outdoor nightclub and enjoyed a night (and into early morning) of fun! House one was chaotic. EVERYONE wanted time with Penny so poor girl was running around the lot to spend time with each sim. Jasper and Penny ended up getting the enamored sentiment but they argued right after which resulted in them getting the unpredictable romance style. Silas got a bit of snuggle time with Penny but it was short lived due to a random game of who woohoo-ed?! Adriel ended up falling asleep in the hot tub, I guess he figured his spot was pretty solid? House two was even more hectic since Penny, Darius, and Raiden decided to go smoke a little grass. All three of them ended up being high af for the rest of the night. Raiden had a bad reaction and ended up throwing up. Darius sat his ass on the couch and told him to sleep it off- a true bestie. Penny was feeling a bit salty at Darius not responding to her confession so she ignored him and made him jealous by making out with Atlas. Darius had enough of her temper tantrum and pulled her to the side with a surprise gift ;-; Safe to say Penny is no longer mad at him cause she got a designer bag to wipe her tears with. You might be wondering... where the hell was Diego during all of this. Homeboy really said fuck yall this DJ too good and spent the night on the dancefloor ignoring everyone. King shit really. Next post will be the challenge!!

Deimos Draco.

Pronounced (Dee-mus)

He/him. Jealous / Evil / Genius. Aspiration Zen Guru. Spellcaster. Day job Lawyer.

He comes from a long royal line of Warlocks of the Red Dragon lineage, home to the Komorebi mountains. You've probably never heard of him, but that's how he likes it! But don't be fooled! Some of the most dastardly things can go unnoticed or unsolved... he would like to keep it mysterious.

Deimos: Cut to the chase already!

Ok ok! Now a master of the dark arts in all forms, Deimos must find his soulmate if you will, as the only child of the prestigious family and provide the next Draco heir to pass on the family's wicked ways... lucky Nat (or unlucky) he presumes her to be slightly tolerable... if not interesting.

The chaos🤦🏾‍♀️

Since I didn’t want to set the kitchen on fire two days in a row, Lilac was on cooking. Mister knows what's up - he woke early and went downstairs to keep her company and enjoy some one-on-one time while everyone else slumbered.

Upstairs Forest awakes, promptly judges my decor. Listen, I promised you an authentic farmhouse experience, and an authentic farmhouse experience is what you got.

Lee with his choice of sleepwear clearly said “sun’s out, bum’s out.”

Lilac, look at your life. Look at your choices. And so once again it’s time for chore montage hour. Which we won't show because Tumblr's stingy on pictures.

Looks like it was good for… one of them?

And so we're off to fair Sulani. Forest Baywatches out, while Tiago attempts to embrace Lilac and is rebuffed 😥 She gains a sentiment from him, however? Tiago, you're too pure.

Mister and Lilac sit at the chessboard, looking for all the world like some exhausted couple who have had it with their wayward sprogs and are taking everyone to let loose in Central Park (probably not too inaccurate a descriptor). Lilac is flirting hard, but Mister is too full of secondhand embarrassment at Tiago's CRINGE to notice.

Eventually Lilac takes up the guitar, only to be laughed at by Sage. Lee and Tiago react a little more kindly.

No one’s watching me, thinks Sage the KLEPTOMANIAC as she prepares to make her move.

(Spoiler alert - they’re all watching you.)

Lee mouths off at Giovanna, and is busted accordingly.

You should never have done it, says Forest, never have done it - tsk tsk Lee!

And then Forest and Lee start to argue. This seems to be too much for Lilac’s little pixel mind - between Mean and Evil, who should you vouch for - so she wanders off to flirt with Mister instead. Good call.

She then invites him to... do an activity together with her upstairs. Even better call. We'll turn our attention back to everyone else.

Downstairs Lee is too hangry to interact with any of the skill building objects (all exactly according to Forest’s plan…), so he goes and confesses his woes to Tiago - all while Forest rubs salt in his wounds by using the punching bag behind him. 

Sage and Giovanna decide to leave the boys to their nonsense - they are making good use of the skill building objects, and building up a sweet sweet friendship besides. But we all know that femme sims can multitask.

Who, me? Giovanna is almost as good as Forest at hiding her more dastardly impulses.

Lilac and Mister continue their flirtations upstairs, aaaand Lee and Forest now pretty much hate each other.

(I had too many photos for one post, but not quite enough for two, so there will be a smol 'post credits' update eventually.)
